Catherine is a highly experienced educator with over two decades of experience across independent schools in the North West of England. She holds a BA (Hons) in English from The University of Birmingham, with a subsidiary in Psychology, a PGCE in Secondary Education from The University of Manchester, and an MA in Education from Manchester Metropolitan University. As a Founding Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, Catherine has a strong foundation in research-led practice, with a deep focus on the science of learning. Her Master's research centered around imposter syndrome, mindset, and how experiences influence educational success and confidence. This has provided her with valuable insights into overcoming psychological barriers to achievement, which informs her coaching and teaching practices.
Throughout her career, Catherine has been dedicated to helping students and individuals unlock their full potential by fostering independence, resilience, and creative problem-solving skills. Her time as Head of English and her current role as Assistant Head (Teaching and Learning) have equipped her with a wealth of knowledge in guiding others to learn how to learn and manage workload. Catherine’s practice is rooted in the belief that high expectations and positive relationships are key to empowering people—whether they are students or colleagues—to achieve their best.
As an executive function coach, Catherine draws on her extensive background in education and leadership to provide personalised support to clients. She understands that the ability to manage time, plan effectively, and stay organised is crucial for success, and she is passionate about helping individuals develop these essential skills. Catherine’s approach focuses not only on practical strategies but also on fostering self-belief and self-advocacy, allowing her clients to take ownership of their learning and personal growth. In addition to her professional expertise, Catherine is a mother of three teenagers, which further enriches her understanding of the challenges faced by young people in today’s fast-paced world.

Having daily life structured where work, tasks, admin are completed allows for much more free time to spend any way you please! Being in control of your work flow through effective EF creates freedom to spend some time each day having fun.
When a student who usually feels overwhelmed sits down, starts the first paragraph/ task/ attempts the first question, even though motivation is low. That movement from “I don’t feel like it” to “I’ve started” is great!
Relational, structured, strength-building.
