Coach
As an Executive Function Coach with OPPTEmizer™ Coaching, Melissa draws on nearly twenty years of empowering neurodiverse learners across PreK–12 and adult higher education. With deep expertise in executive functioning, ADHD interventions, specialized curriculum scaffolding, and systemic behavioral support, Melissa has built a career around transforming complex psycho-educational assessments into actionable, growth-oriented strategies for students and educators alike. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design, a Master of Arts in Special Education, and advanced coursework in Educational Therapy from UCSC Extension. Her background also includes specialized certification as a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner and leadership training through programs at Yale and Columbia — a foundation that continues to shape the evidence-based, neuro-affirming approach she brings to coaching with our clients.
Melissa believes deeply in the power of connection, structured collaboration, and transparent communication, bringing a holistic approach to executive function coaching that bridges theoretical research with everyday life.
Outside of coaching, Melissa brings a lifelong passion for team dynamics and mentorship, rooted in her experience as a former Division II Women’s Varsity Lacrosse Team Captain. In her personal time, Melissa loves spending time with her two teen boys, hiking with their dog, traveling to touch her toes in the sand, and enjoying some good old-fashioned fun over competitive card games with friends.
